2. Where should I mail my check?
- Please mail your check to the following address:

3. How much do you charge to play in the monthly tournament?
- We charge $35.00 per tournament.
4. Do you give players a discount for their birthday?
- You may take a $10 discount against the green fees. Please make a note on the memo line of your check that you are taking your birthday discount.
- If you plan to pay at the event be sure to send us an email (cgsga5081@gmail.com) to let us know in advance that it is your birth month, that you plan to use your discount and that you will be playing.
- PLEASE NOTE: This is a birthday discount not a credit.
- This discount is USE IT OR LOSE IT so if you don't use it during your birth month or you are unable to play it does not carry forward to another month.
5. How do I pay for the tournament?
- The preferred method of paying for each tournament is to mail a check at least 10 days in advance of the tournament date5
- Your check should be made payable to CGSGA and should indicate the venue of the tournament in the memo line.
- If you are unable to mail your tournament check in time you may pay by cash or check at the tournament. However, please an E-Mail to notify us you plan to play and pay at the event to CGSGA5081@GMAIL.COM.
- WE CANNOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS
6. How much are CGSGA annual dues and when are they due?
- Our annual dues are currently $20.00 per year. Annual dues are due on the 1st of January of the new calendar year.
- PLEASE NOTE: If you mail your dues along with a check for the monthly tournament please be sure to write one check for the tournament and a separate check for dues.
- Writing a separate check for dues gives us the ability to deposit your dues check and shred your tournament check in the case of a tournament cancellation due to inclement weather.
7. How will I know if you have received my check?
- Each month, approximately five (5) days in advance of the tournament we send out a list of players who have signed up for the monthly tournament.
- If you planned to play but don't see your name it means that we have not received your check and/or you have not notified us you plan to play.
- If this is the case, please contact a member of the board of directors to be sure that we register you for the tournament. You will find contact information for members of the board on our Home Page.https://cgsgaofgeorgia.com/
- Keep in mind that the last day we can check the mail is the Saturday before the Monday tournament.
8. My buddy and I want to play together at every tournament. Can you make that happen?
- Yes, we can code your database entries so that whenever you both play in a tournament you will be paired together. Just notify one of our board members and we will make it happen.
9. What happens the first time I play?
- As a new member, the first time you play you will earn points in accordance with our "Tournament Scoring System" as described on our website https://cgsgaofgeorgia.com/tournament-scoring-system .
- In you first tournament you will not be eligible for "Flight Place Prizes" but you can earn credit for close-ups on the Par 3 holes.
- In addition, at most tournament we run a "Skins Game" on the side where for $1.00 you can compete for all or part of the the skins pot. Skins winnings are paid in cash.
10. When does CGSGA hold it's tournaments and where do you play?
- We hold our tournaments once each month on the first Monday of the month with some exceptions.

- Directions to the tournament location will be shown on the "COURSE DIRECTIONS" page of our website. To access that page click on the dropdown menu "MORE" and select the "Course Directions" page or click the following link: https://cgsgaofgeorgia.com/course-directions
- This page will provide you a link to Google Maps which can be downloaded to your smart phone our printed out if you prefer.
11. Can I offset the cost of the tournament with credit earned when I play well?
- Yes, in each tournament we organize the players into three flights and we populate each flight with players of similar playing capabilities.
- Within each flight we currently pay down four places as follows:
- 1st Place: $35.00
- 2nd Place: $20.00
- 3rd Place: $10.00
- 4th Place: $5.00
12. Are there other ways to win credit?
- Yes, we also give players the opportunity to win $10.00 credit for "Closest to the Hole" on the par threes.
- You may compete for this credit even if it's your first tournament.
- This credit may also be used to offset the cost of a tournament.
13. How long does my credit last?
- Credit must be used before the end of the third calendar month after the credit is earned. For example, if you win credit at tournament played in January you must use that credit by the end of April.
- Credit not used during that three month period will be expired.
